Right two days ago me and my girlfriend sat down to look at our finances, our in goings and out goings etc…She wants to go on holiday, I’m terrified of flying but becuse I love her I will suffer for three hours and get on a plane to some where hot, I would rather go to Center Parcs..But I guess a relationship is all about sacrifices.

Any hows we have to draw up a Budget…..the first thing to go…SKY..Which means no more Sky Sports News NO!!! …then she took issue with the £30.00 a month I’m spending on beef jerky…I told her its high in protein and low in calories, she says no more….then it was the non alcoholic beer (becks blue)…I was spending £40.00 a month on that…she thinks I have a non alcoholic problem so I cutting that down to 5 bottles on the weekend….BUT then she looked at how much I spending in starbucks ALL Hell broke loose….there was tears…plates flying…Shouting, She says I had to give it up, I told her coffee is my friend and helps me write and that I would not give it up.

After a two day stand off we are now talking I will just have one coffee a day and then it’s instant….the things we do for love…..She is now walking to work instead of taking the train it’s a four mile treck but like I said we all have to make sacrifices.

GGG to do SKETCHORAMA for BBC radio 4

Following the completion of their BBC pilot the boys have gone on to sell out their Glasgow comedy festival show and now go straight on to do SKETCHORAMA in Glasgow this month for BBC Radio 4.

Geek-house bound due to fish

Hello to all…..I’m house bound!! due to the ginge dropping a stone heavy salmon on my big toe. It happened during filming a sketch….but it’s OK cos a first aider was on set, Nancy she bandaged my big toe up and said I was very brave the producer came up to me and said we can cancel today’s filming and move the schedule….I looked every one in the eye and said ”THE SHOW MUST GO ON” I was in utter pain but I kept it to my self….but now I’m suffering in pain in my flat by my self with my poor toe heavely bandaged…..never let it be said the geek never does his own stunts .

Recently we started watching the twilight saga and i thought nothing of it. Some sad vampire love story which teen girls go crazy over a strangely flat faced pastey vampire. But now all of a sudden i find myself desperately awaiting breaking dawn part 2!! What once was a chore to watch has become a necessity, i’m a TWIHARD!!! NO!!!!!!

Geek makes friends on train

IN the past 4 weeks I have travelled up and down to London 5 times(I’m based in Glasgow) much to my girlfriends dismay.

Any hows I have started to befriend the train staff so much so that I’m on first name terms…..my fravourte ticket collector is Trevor when he does his ticket inspection he always says ” your OK Kevin” the passengers look at me as if I’m special…And then there’s the lovely June who works in the cafe…she has two kids Billy seven and Sandra 4 she is Lovley…..She always gives me a wee chocolate sweet I don’t have the heart to tell her I don’t eat chocolate so I Just save it and put it in my pocket give it to the Geordie when I arrive loves his sweets(he is finding it harder to fit in to those pants!)

well it’s back up tomorrow I hope Mathew is not the ticket collector!! He’s a tit, takes his job far to seriously…He through an old lady off because she got the train an hour before her designated time on her ticket….Ah well cant wait to see ma bird

Geek-coffee cafe rating’s

After spending countless hours trying to write sketch’s in coffee shops across Britain I have decided to give them a rating! hear goes,

STARBUCKS-although the staff are lovely, and the decor light and rich the coffee does let them down and essentially that is what I’m there for .So I should give you a 5 out of 10 but because you do the best granola bars i will make it a 6

COSTA-Well the staff are hot and cold I’m afraid, but when there hot there amazing! decor is lovle dark and a mahogany feel and I love the coffee! but they still charge the same price for there grnola bars when i know the have made them slighlty smaller wich does anger me! do you think I’m an Idiot (well the jokes on you cos I go to Holland and BARRENT and buy a healther grnola bar and it ‘s bigger and cheaper and I eat it secretly in your shop so the joke on you HA!) But I will give you a 7

CAFE NERO-Not as busy at the other two which is great. plenty of space, and great staff…so the question is is there coffee good YES, and also free good wi-fi so I will have to give them a 8

PRET-Nice friendly staff, quick service, and decent porridge. But for me this is the McDonald’s of the coffee world they intce you in with there fancy design, but the decor and the seating is designed to make you drink and get out! I’m sorry but I want to savour my coffee you get a 6

That concludes my review, My best bit of advice is to find a local independent coffee shop that you love and stick with that….cos they make there coffee with love….

Mrs Geordie won’t marry me

I have now asked Mrs Geordie to marry me about 18 times. Not that I’m counting. She keeps refusing. I think she’s in love with the Geek, but I have no proof except she tells me she wishes I was as tall as him, and as good looking, and as funny, and as thoughtful, and as charming. I’ll be keeping an eye on the situation to see how it develops.

GEORDIE HAS AN EVENTFUL NEW YEAR

Wow! What a month already. Firstly I find out the BBC have greenlit our pilot, then I complete my 73 performances of panto at Oxford Playhouse- which we shall say for the sake of tact, ‘an experience’ then I come back and start the very next morning with my three fellow GGG co-workers as we spend an insane 7 days putting together a 30 minute brand new show. ‘Let’s do it really rough’ we all say in November, ‘Lets not even learn a running order’ the ginge boldly states in december. fast forward to today (72 hours before the show) and we’re learning the order for 18 sketches, the lines for 16 sketches (thank god for the to without words) and the moves for two complicated dance routines. ‘rough’ i remind them, ‘rough’. it’s like talking to a brick wall!
